funded by major foundations and reflect a broad commitment to integrate
the arts and community transformation where appropriate.

Americans for the Arts
Supported by the Ford Foundation, this site is extensive and diverse,
exploring the relationship between the arts and education as well as democracy
and artmaking. This site has helpful publications available in addition
to the web-based resources.

The Institute on Arts and Civic Dialogue
"In a culture
seemingly lacking in family, unity, and common values, the Institute believes
that artists can be catalysts for a new kind of civic space where the

Rockefeller Foundation -- Creativity and Culture Initiative
The Rockefeller Foundation's "Creativity and Culture Initiative" provides
an instructive look at the understanding of the public arts process and
its contribution to cultural creation and community development. The PACT
link (Public Arts and Community Transformation) provides an excellent
framework for how to establish benchmarks and set measures of success
for public arts initiatives. The site also provides a good look at how
to establish and set success measures for arts projects.
